These details also serve as the provider identification under § 5 of the German Digital Services Act (DDG) and § 5 of the Austrian E-Commerce Act (ECG), and as the disclosure under § 25 of the Austrian Media Act (MedienG). Media owner: Elion Qerimi, Aegerten (Switzerland). Basic orientation: online marketplace and knowledge platform for reptiles and terrarium keeping.
The operator does not act as a breeder, dealer or broker of animals or goods, but exclusively provides the technical platform.
2. Role and nature of the platform
ReptElion is a private online platform with the following functions:
- Provision of a marketplace for listings of reptiles.
- Provision of a marketplace for listings of terrarium accessories.
- Provision of a knowledge section with species and husbandry information.
ReptElion is not a party to purchase, exchange or handover contracts. Contracts are concluded exclusively between the respective users.
3. Liability for content
The content published on ReptElion (listings, texts, images, ratings, comments, species information) mainly comes from users (user-generated content).
The operator gives no guarantee for:
- the correctness, completeness or topicality of the content.
- the state of health, origin or legal admissibility of the animals offered.
- compliance with animal welfare or species protection regulations by users.
Content is moderated within the technical and organisational possibilities; however, there is no permanent prior review of the content.
4. Liability for external links
ReptElion may contain links to external third-party websites (e.g. users' social media profiles). The operator has no influence on their content.
No liability is accepted for the content of external pages. The respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible.
5. Hosting and technical infrastructure
The ReptElion platform is hosted by Infomaniak in Switzerland. It is operated on servers within Switzerland in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations.
6. Copyright
The content and works created by the operator on this platform are subject to Swiss copyright law.
Content uploaded by users generally remains with the respective authors. By uploading, users grant ReptElion the simple right, unlimited in time and space, to display, store and technically process the content as part of operating the platform.
